- Privateers are best in larger games. Pirates and militia can more consistently get their bonus Rep.
- Expect to have enough Rep to unlock a new Resource approximately every 2-3 battles, but usually starting after your first two. This is about the normal cadence.
- If you have to take a strike test, you probably _want_ to choose to withdraw. Every battle is different, but protecting your commander is usually more worthwhile than trying to come back from behind in a battle where you’re two or more strike points down.
- Campaign events are more likely the more players are playing. At 9 players (or 8 players, one of whom re-draws their hand) you can expect about one event per turn. When you have fewer players, it might be fun to stack the deck with an extra joker or maybe even two.
